Blissful Women Menstrual Cup : A menstrual cup is a menstrual hygiene device, which is inserted into the vagina during periods, to collect menstrual blood. Blissful Women menstrual cups are an eco-friendly alternative to sanitary pads & tampons.
Why to switch?
On an average, a woman (between the ages of 13 and 51) has her menstruation for 3-7 days. This means a woman lives through 6.25 years of period (2,280 days) in her life. A woman make those days, in India, typically, disposes over 10,000 tampons/pads in her menstrual life cycle.
The problem of proper disposal of sanitary waste is a bigger concern in India. Menstrual products like tampons, pads, panty-liners, etc. take years to decay as a majority of them use up to 90 per cent plastic or non-degradable material. Pads, in particular, take over 500-800 years to decompose.
What is a Panty Liner?
Blissful Women cloth panty liner is an absorbent piece of material used as feminine intimate hygiene product, to protect against white discharges.Panty liners are designed to act as a barrier against daily vaginal discharge or perspiration. If you tend to sweat excessively post workout, pantyliners can save you from that annoying wetness between your legs.
What is it use for?Absorbency for daily vaginal discharge, light menstrual flow-4th day pads, tampon and menstrual cup backup, spotting, post-intercourse discharge, and urinary incontinence, discharge during pregnancy.
What is the difference between sanitary pads & panty liners?Sanitary pads normally come in bigger sizes and thicker as they need to absorb more flow during periods. Pantyliners are slimmer, smaller, and thinner and fit on your crotch area on your panties on normal discharge days giving you a feeling of no-usage.Consult a doctor for more details, before use.BTRA CERTIFIED.

Blissful Women helps you in every way to shift to sustainable hygiene, please take 2 steps from your side to understand the product you shifted to, and change little bit of your mindset too, together we can.
- Please note your cloth pad is not a magical device but simple layers of cloth stitched together.
- You will take 3 cycles to understand your flow , as cloth pad does not turn period blood into gel but simply soak it, so you need to monitor your flow and change the pad in 3- 4 hours accordingly.
1st time user:
- Please soak pads 4 hrs before 1st use, wash and keep it ready before periods, also if there is a dark color pad in your box you may choose to soak it for 1 hour in salt water to make the color fast.
- Then use 1st L pad on 3rd day, in low flow and monitor the same. Then night pad on 3rd night, 4th day panty liner, then slowly shift to 2nd or 1st day, in your 2nd cycle.
- Also try the pad at home 1st time.
- The pads will get softer & more absorbent 3rd cycle onwards.
- If you feel odd/shy to dry the pad in sun , or window, due to religious taboo, or family norms, many gents in the family etc just put a thin gents handkerchief over it and dry, the pad will dry in sun as well as become invisible from the public eye.
- Tip: Urinate every 1 hour atleast when wore a cloth pad, most of the period blood will come out during urination and keep the pad functional for more time.
- Tip: You may shift the pad 1 inch upward or downward from the original position you wore it, when you use the wash room, to avoid blood clotting at one place.
- As pad fabrics are pure cotton and not bleached, it may run a little colour in 2-3 washes initially but its ok, upper layer totally safe.
- Note pad is not made to hold urine, but can be tried to hold sudden urine discharge drops.
- You may soak in warm water before storing, if you like.
Hope you feel comfortable using them and wear it with proud and dignity and also promote others to take up the change.
