Nestled in the hustle & bustle of Kandivali West resides a small colony called Poinsur village. There are more than 35 families who stay here & work as daily wage earners picking up debris for road & metro station construction sites. When our team interviewed the ladies living here about their period hygiene, they mentioned that they used torn clothes collected from the streets or rags, during the time of their periods. They also mentioned that as they are living in small shelters, they are hardly able to manage 2 meals a day, it's nearly impossible for them to buy sanitary pads for themselves.
Realizing their current condition, without wasting much time, we organized a small ‘Period Hygiene Awareness Drive' and after informing them of the ill-effects of using dirty rags and clothes. Knowing that Our cloth sanitary pads are leakproof, and last 2 years while emitting 0% waste in the environment, we donated 50 Cloth Pads to these women in need.
We realize that they need more pads this year, for a complete period cycle, and we are working towards supporting them through crowdfunding and NGOs. Your contribution of 750 or more can help us in adopting one woman's period hygiene needs for the next two years.
Join The Blissful Women’s donation drive on 8th MAR 2022 and help us protect women from dangers caused due to using unhygienic methods during periods.
Donate today to safeguard a woman in need!
